My Magazine Subscription Timeline
1994
So what if I was ten when I started reading?
Pretty sure we all discovered this little gem in some dentist's office when we were young. I somehow conned Momma Chrissy into a subscription for a year, maybe two.
1997
What became my ever-changing wall paper. J.T.T. dominated all four walls at one time, sigh.
1999
Introducing Bop’s sister mag, BB Bop! (By now my walls are plastered with Justin Timberlake’s face).
As Vice President of our local N'Sync fan club it was extremely important that I keep up to date on their favorite colors and dream dates.
2000
During my teen modeling days I worked a YM event and met LFO, probably the most exciting day of my life. Sad.
2002
2003
Of course during the college years I read this whorey lame publication. By now I should know a billion "ways to please your man." Ashamed.
2008
Bienvenidos a Barcelona!
Living in Spain, I didn't technically subscribe to this, but it was always in mi casa conmigo. Perfect for practicaring mi espanol.
2010
Fresh out of the Costa Rican jungle I desperately needed some Glamour to my regime. Still working on it... slow process.
2012
Nicely settled in with the boyfriend and cat, oh how life has changed!
Love looking at beachside residences and overpriced sailor inspired pillows.
Captivating articles and creative editorial spreads. So sophisticated, I wear my glasses when reading (even if the prescription is nearsighted).
I know, I know, I get a lot of heat for this one... but the Type 2 Diabetes causing recipes (holy calorie count!) help me feel less homesick. And I like the local shout-outs.
What the future holds…
2013?
2025?
2040 (wait till the kids leave home...) ?
2052?

Seriously! I wonder where it went?
LOVED, LOVED, LOVED this entry Cat Girl – great job with an original idea!
meow!
Dear Sad and Ashamed: This was amazing! Near sighted with glasses to read VF absolutely the best. I remember N’Sync walls, how those passions leaked over into Mama C. too, you know, for that hood out of Jersey with the dark hair and muscles? Oh honey, save this one for the kids. Show them how it really pays off to start reading at 10.
Hah, yes I will strive to get them reading at 10 🙂
P.S. Your subscription to Midwest Living will keep you grounded and practical-minded, able to endure every hardship without wincing one bit as long as cheeses exist.
There’s no one I wanted to kill more than JTT in 4th grade. Stole every girls heart for 2 years minimum. Sigh
And then he stopped growing and was perpetually 4 foot 9…
I lol’d
