I know at some point I mentioned Pinterest.com but now it’s time for a full tribute to my new favorite web gem. You’ve probably already heard of it, in fact you have most likely been “pinning” forever and I’m the last person to find out about this! I couldn’t believe all of my fellow contacts that were members. Where have I been? Oh yeah, googling cats, I forgot.
Why mess with good content. I’ll give you the “How It Works” explanation right from their website:
“Pinterest is a Virtual Pinboard.
Pinterest lets you organize and share all the beautiful things you find on the web. People use pinboards to plan their weddings, decorate their homes, and organize their favorite recipes.
Best of all, you can browse pinboards created by other people. Browsing pinboards is a fun way to discover new things and get inspiration from people who share your interests. To get started, request an invitation.”
Once you are a member (don’t worry it’s free) you save pinterest in your favorites tool bar. Then you go and roam the word wide web and if you come across a photo of something you like go to your favorites bar and click on the “pin it” button. It will ask you what board you want to pin it to and then you pin it. WAALLLAAHHH! magic. A visual scrapbook of delights!
Here are two examples of boards I’ve made:
Some of my other boards are; “Genius Text” “Let’s Explore (travel)” and “Furry Friends”
I’m going to start one with content that I might use for this website.
I should get paid for this blatant marketing… just say’n.
